People and the Just Transition
People are at the heart of everything we do – from working with communities to build the renewable projects that reduce emissions, to ensuring that our colleagues come home safely from work every day. People enable us to drive the green energy transition that is vital for us and generations to come. Sustainability encompasses more than simply protecting the environment or delivering climate action; it also includes people, communities and delivering for society as a whole.
We deliver more than clean energy — we deliver shared value. Through our projects, we create opportunities for education, health, and local development. Every initiative is designed to strengthen communities and improve quality of life, ensuring that the benefits of the green transition reach people where they live and work.

Collaboration
Achieving a sustainable future and true sustainability will take time. It will not be delivered by any one group or organisation on their own, it will take collective effort! At Statkraft Ireland, collaboration is central to how we deliver a cleaner, more resilient energy future. We work closely with contractors, suppliers and local businesses to ensure our projects create lasting value and strengthen the wider renewable energy ecosystem. We believe that by working together, we can protect the present whilst building forward for the future.

Communities
Community engagement is at the heart of our sustainability approach. We work closely with local stakeholders to co-design benefit programs such as Community Benefit Funds, infrastructure improvements, and cultural initiatives.
We are implementing a dedicated Community Engagement Strategy to ensure that every action aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This approach integrates sustainability into community benefit programs, fostering meaningful participation and transparent communication while delivering tangible social, economic, and environmental impact.
Through our projects we can support local initiatives in communities via the Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS) Community Benefit Fund which can be used for the wider economic, environmental, social and cultural well-being of the local community. With a value of €2 per megawatt hour, some of the community benefit initiatives rolled out as a result of renewable energy projects developed by Statkraft in Ireland include:
• Outdoor amenity areas
• Retrofitting housing schemes
• Energy efficiency schemes
• Educational supports
• Community spaces for locals
• Biodiversity initiatives

Our Team
At Statkraft Ireland, our journey to net zero is driven by a diverse group of experts working across renewable development, sustainability and community engagement. Our teams span onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, battery storage and grid services, delivering the projects and infrastructure that power Ireland’s clean energy transition.
They are supported by specialists in sustainability, planning, communications and public affairs, who ensure our work reflects strong environmental stewardship and meaningful collaboration with communities.
Together, these teams are building a cleaner, more resilient energy future for Ireland.

Leading the Way
Delivering a stronger and more sustainably resilient world needs leadership and in order to deliver, we need to create the space for the voices of all. Without all of these voices, we will never achieve the right balance.
