Governance
Our governance approach is based on the development of well-informed strategy which is delivered on through a Sustainability Action Plan. Each active project has an overarching Sustainability Management Plan which brings together all of the relevant sustainability information including the biodiversity management plan, waste management plan and project risks and opportunities. Some of key governance documents include:

Sustainability Strategy
At Statkraft Ireland, sustainability is not an add-on — it is a strategic enabler of our business. Our 2026 Sustainability Strategy is built around the concept of Sustainable Resilience, ensuring that our projects strengthen communities, ecosystems and the economy — not only in the future, but starting today.
This strategy aligns with Statkraft’s corporate direction while responding to Ireland’s local context and regulatory landscape.

Sustainability Action Plan
Our SAP translates strategy into action. It includes concrete targets, timelines and responsibilities across all phases of project development and operations.
Key features of the SAP:
- Quarterly reviews to ensure feasibility and agility.
- Integration of ESG criteria into all areas.
- Development of biodiversity indicators, strategic tools and community benefit frameworks.
- Collaborative engagement to strengthen sustainability culture.
The SAP is updated annually and reflects both corporate priorities and local realities, ensuring that sustainability is practical, measurable and impactful.
