Statkraft recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Women™ in Ireland

08 Mar, 2023

To mark International Women’s Day, Statkraft Ireland has confirmed that is has been recognised as one of the Best Workplaces™ for Women in Ireland in 2023. This is the first time that the company has been recognised for the award.

Statkraft, which has been operating in Ireland since 2018, is Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy.

The Best Workplaces for Women™ programme recognises organisations which create positive and supportive workplaces by ensuring that female staff members are treated fairly when it comes to pay; training and promotion opportunities; taking time off for childcare or other family commitments, and where they are encouraged, empowered, and supported to do their best work.

Statkraft Ireland was one of 30 companies named as Ireland’s Best Workplaces for Women at an event in Dublin’s Stella Cinema yesterday.

Tina Raleigh, Statkraft Ireland’s Head of Offshore, who was profiled as part of the Best Workplaces™ for Women in Ireland programme, said: “It is an absolute privilege to represent my female colleagues in Statkraft Ireland and to be able to tell the public how flexible and family-friendly the company is when it comes to important areas such as hybrid working.

“Statkraft Ireland provides superb benefits such as healthcare for staff and their families, flex time, company days and paid maternity leave. The company doesn’t just promise to be family-friendly, it backs up that pledge with concrete benefits that enable all its female staff, especially working mothers like myself, to experience a positive work-life balance. It really is a great place to work.”

Kevin O’Donovan, Managing Director of Statkraft Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to have been recognised as a company that fosters and values the incredible talents of our female workforce. Creating a family-friendly and flexible working environment that empowers women to reach their full potential is vital to attracting and retaining the best people.”

This is the second major achievement for Statkraft Ireland in the Great Place to Work programme in recent days. On 22 February, the company was named Best Small Sized Workplace™ in Ireland 2023. The Great Place to Work Programme measures organisations through a combination of an Employee Survey and a Cultural Audit. The company was ranked 12th in the same category last year.
